Welcome to My House

For the last six months I have been looking to buy a house in Atlanta. I pretty much looked at every house inside the perimeter within my budget (no joke, ask my realtor) and finally found the perfect place. I had something particular in mind – a fixer upper in a decent location. For me, a “decent location” means within a certain proximity to my office because I am not interested in a 30-45 minute commute.

I had no idea the emotional roller coaster that I was in for when I began the process of looking for a home but it was definitely worth it.

I was able to meet the previous owner, a sweet older woman, at closing. She shared the entire history of the home (its 70 years old) and the neighborhood. She loved the home and I have a feeling I will too!

Here are a few of the “before” pictures of the home that were online when the house went on the market. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a chance to get any photos before they started working on the house.

I am from Atlanta, GA and moved back here after graduating from the University of South Carolina. GO COCKS! Moving back was an interesting transition and a lot more difficult than I expected but I am thrilled to be here. I have been at my job for almost four years and it has been a wonderful learning opportunity! My parents are the most caring and fun people who just celebrated 34 years of marriage! Congrats to them! My brother and brother in law just recently moved to Atlanta after getting married this summer.
