Fall at the Lake

This weekend my parents hosted my mom’s side of the family at their lake house on Lake Oconee. Getting the whole family together is always a difficult task but we try our best to accomplish it a few times a year. This year we were missing a few but it was overall a wonderful weekend. Saturday was filled with football starting with the South Carolina win over Florida followed by Alabama’s win over the undefeated Mississippi State. Everyone was thrilled with the wins! It was a celebratory weekend with the two wins and we were celebrating four November birthdays in the family.

The lake is GORGEOUS this time of year with all the colorful trees and the reflections on the water. Nothing beats getting cozy next to the fire with a good cider in hand! I’ve never been an apple cider fan but a few years ago I found out that I was allergic to the gluten in beer and ciders became my beer of choice. (I’m not exactly sure if it qualifies as a beer but it does for me.) I try to change it up because it seems like every week a new cider comes out but this weekend I sipped on Angry Orchard, a classic!

It was an absolutely amazing weekend filled with family and fun! We even played the Cards Against Humanity game. (Not a game I would recommend playing with your family but everyone should definitely try it out!) We were all crying from laughing so hard the entire time.

XOXO
